At Bargold Storage Systems, LLC "Bargold" and our affiliates, subsidiaries, or otherwise controlled entities, we recognize that safeguarding your personal and private information is vital and have always made it a top priority for our business. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of personal information Bargold must collect and store, and your choices of what gets stored for your convenience, when you visit our website, use our online payment portal, use our mobile application, rent a storage unit, or otherwise engage with us online or offline (collectively our "Services"). We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing personal information with us.
What we collect
- Bargold’s servers and other logging devices automatically record information when you visit our website including the URLs requested, IP address, ports, protocols, commands entered, browser type, language, and the date and time of your request.
- Upon registering for our Services and/or logging onto our servers, we take additional steps to associate the IP address, and your activities while on our servers, to your personal information for security and auditing purposes.
- Bargold collects the minimum amount of personal information required when you choose to register for Bargold Services. Specifically, we collect and store your name, address, email address, phone number, and Bank ACH routing and account information. All connections to Bargold web servers and Services are secured with encrypted connections only. Bank account information and user created passwords are encrypted during transmission at all times and stored in an encrypted format wherever possible within compliant application limitations.
- Bargold additionally collects either a Driver’s License or Social Security Number via hard copy format for legal or financial reporting or collection purposes. Hard copy Forms scanned into Bargold electronic storage devices have any sensitive information redacted prior to scanning and the hard copies are locked in a cabinet with physical access controls monitored by closed circuit security systems.
What we do not collect
- Bargold does not collect or accept payment cards of any kind for it’s Services.
- Bargold does not collect any other personally identifiable information in connection with our Services not already detailed herein.
- Bargold does not use cookies for tracking, performance, or any other purposes nor do we sell any information to third parties.
How we use your data
- We use personal information to facilitate the billing and provisioning of the Services you’ve requested.
- We may also use personal information for auditing, research and analysis of our processes and systems to improve Bargold technologies and Services.
- Bargold uses Electronic Funds Transfer Network Inc. as our third party payment processor and shares only the information required to process ACH payments. - We may also share information with other professional third parties in very limited cir-cumstances, including in compliance with law enforcement legal process or order, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services.
- Bargold processes and stores data on servers located in the United States only.
Your Choices
- When you register for Services with Bargold, and choose to pay your bill online, you may choose to create and save a strong password to access limited account history going forward or use an included one time use password that comes with your bill. You may simply use the included link with your e-bill and enter your payment information only as well.
- You may decline to provide requested personal information to us, however we will not be able to provide our Services without the mandatory information outlined in this document.
- You have the choice, and are encouraged, to periodically review your personal in-formation for accuracy upon request by calling (718) 247-7000 Ext 123. You may update or correct anything found to be inaccurate and/or have information deleted entirely, whenever appropriate and possible.
